ESA is once again providing Sentinel-1 GRD, SLC, and RAW data in compressed zipped files, and as of June 25, 2024, these files are available to download from ASF. This action means that data are quicker and more reliable to download, and this also reduces the amount and cost of storage.

From ESA:
“Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem now provides easy access to Sentinel-1 (RAW, GRD, SLC) data stored in their native [compressed] format and bundled as zipped files.“
